ESG

Our approach to Environmental, Social & Governance.

We recognise our responsibilities as a good corporate citizen and actively integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues into our business model.

Praxis is committed to ensuring that slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, or child exploitation have no place in or around our business. We have implemented a number of policies that allow us to manage human rights both within and outside of our operations, including our Codes of Conduct.

The Group has a proactive approach to developing our reputation and engagement in our communities. We recognise the need to be socially responsible and in local communities, this means we support charities and organisations, sports teams and events that aim to provide learning, training and development opportunities, and that encourage people to lead healthy lifestyles, and improve the quality of people’s lives.

Our long-term sponsorship of Guernsey and Great Britain athlete Alastair Chalmers helps him compete at the highest level of international athletics.

We have supported the 400m hurdler since 2018, providing financial backing for essentials such as kit, training, medical care, competition fees and travel costs.

Alastair made history as the first Guernsey track and field athlete to win a Commonwealth Games medal, securing Bronze in Birmingham in 2022. He also proudly represented the island and Team GB at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Global initiatives

We also give each of our team dedicated annual volunteering time to support local charitable initiatives.

Our global ESG Committee selected two of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals to focus our attention on in 2025 and 2026.

With high food prices continuing to have a global impact, more than 600 million people are predicted to face hunger in 2030, with one in three people worldwide already struggling with moderate to severe food insecurity.

Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. There has been progress over the last decades, but the world is not on track to achieve gender equality by 2030.

Praxis supports both UN SDGs through the implementation of global and local initiatives.
