Christian joined our yacht services division (formerly Sarnia Yachts) in 2018.
Role at Praxis
In his current role as a Crew Services Officer, Christian administers all aspects of yacht crew employment and payroll, overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients with both commercially registered and pleasure yachts.
He is responsible for onboarding new crew members to their respective yachts, issuing crew employment contracts, and preparing and processing monthly payrolls. Christian also monitors crew qualifications to ensure compliance with MLC regulations where required, manages resignations and termination processes, and issues final salary agreements. He strives to maintain friendly and professional relationships with primary contacts, ensuring a positive and efficient working environment.
Career history
Christian joined Praxis (formerly Sarnia Yachts) as an Assistant Bookkeeper in 2018, initially on a temporary basis. During this time he developed a strong interest in the industry and, in 2020, was offered his current role as a permanent member of the crew team.
Since then, he has managed a wide range of yachts and developed a strong working knowledge of crew employment matters.
Prior to joining Praxis, Christian worked in the fiduciary sector for a local trust company and as an employee share plan administrator.

"Outside of work, my favourite activities are surfing and snowboarding, and I previously worked for a short time as a surf instructor in Australia. Otherwise, I can normally be found reading about local and military history."
